Alex Esterkin is a well-known database expert and versatile architect and creator of groundbreaking commercial and open source DBMS and other enterprise software products, enterprise systems, and solutions.
Prior to joining Infobright in April of 2008 as Chief Architect, he worked on numerous high performance database engines:
- Grid based MPP Postgres variant at Dataupia.
- SybaseIQ (columnar bitmap-index based) at Sybase
- Oracle (parallel features and KSR port) at Kendall Square Research.
- Model204 at Computer Corporation of America.
He also held senior technical leadership roles at Fidelity Investments, BrownCo, Salary.com, and Genalytics; consulted on enterprise architecture and service-oriented architecture for enterprise and federal clients.
